Bai Kamara Jr. – Producer, bluesman, brother-from-another-mother, and lifelong friend. The one who first gave me a stage and believed in the songs before they had names. A soul-deep songwriter and the steady hand behind this journey.
Eric Lang – Engineer, multi-instrumentalist magician on guitars and bass, and proud owner of The Magic Box — our studio home where this album came to life.
Odimba Ghenda – Percussionist extraordinaire. The man with rhythm in his bones, bringing heartbeats and grooves to every track he touched.
Fred Rinaldi – Bass, guitars, and my little brother from another musical mother. The other half of SeptFandT, our long-running duo that played everywhere from smoky bars to Paris cafés to a Swiss agricultural museum (yes, really). Fred also has a beautiful album of his own called Hope — check it out.
Pieter M.Hulst Chello. "Velvet thunder — smooth, deep, and full of emotion."
The Choir – Big love to the voices that lifted Cherry on Top and Blue Dot into something bigger than me:Cécile, Owin & Muriel – for their harmonies, and patience. And to the young stars Sara, Samera, and Masha – whose voices carried more light than they’ll ever know.
A Special Mention
And finally, a special mention to Helen — my cornerstone, my PR, my partner-in-everything. The one who stood by me through every long night and difficult day, through the appointments, the silences, the tears, and the not-so-funny jokes we laughed at anyway.
This album wouldn’t exist without her love and unwavering belief in me — even when I wasn’t so sure myself.
And a big shout out to all the partners, friends, and family members out there who walk beside someone they love through illness. It’s a kind of courage that doesn’t get awards or applause, but it matters more than most things in this world.
You feel helpless sometimes, but you’re not. Your love is the medicine.
Because in the end, love is all we really need. And a bit of humour. And a decent cup of tea.But mostly love.
Positivity is power — and we need it to fight the big C.
